Finding the perfect colour scheme

Good colour schemes harmonize and intensify designs, while a poor choice can make your concept fall apart. It’s not always easy to come up with the perfect colour scheme. Is there any way to make it a little easier?

There are many resources online for designers in regard to colour schemes. Some simply provide some example schemes, while others are interactive colour-picking robots. These resources are great to pick up inspiration and create more successful, cohesive colour schemes.

Here’s some colour schemes of existing websites for inspiration:



Palleton,an interactive colour picker, is one of my favourite websites. Once you find your perfect scheme, simply copy and paste the serial numbers into the program you are using.

Picking a colour scheme doesn’t need to be hard. By using some of these resources you can easily create aesthetically pleasing designs in no time!
